Where do we live?

Our team is based on the Municipality of Elburgo, located in the province of Alava, in the Basque Country, northern Spain. The Basque Country is an industrial and highly technologically developed region.

TecnoClub at Moonbots 2012 in a larger map.

Municipality of Elburgo -"Burgelu", in Basque language- has a population of around 550 people, a mixture of farmers, industrial workers and professionals. Population is distributed in six villages: Hijona, Añua, Gáceta, Elburgo, Argómaniz and Arbulo.

Team members come from two of these villages: Elburgo and Arbulo. Both villages are located 10 milles away from Vitoria-Gasteiz, the province capital.

Moonbots 2012 team is more that the 1% of the total Municipality of Elburgo population!

We, at Elburgo, are always looking at the sky. Sun and rain rule sewing and harvesting time to farmers. Pilgrims follow the Milky Way when they go through Elburgo by the Way of Saint James.

And now, we look at the Moon, learn a lot on the Human presence up there, and imagine what could be do our contribution to let it now to our young people.
